Glasgow West End
Glasgow’s West End is the bohemian and cultural heart of the city and a popular area with locals and tourists alike. The West End is also home to the University of Glasgow and the many students who live in the city, adding to the areas relaxed vibe. The main street is Byres road, just two miles from the city centre and easily accessible on foot, by subway or bus. This street and the surrounding area are bustling with cafes, restaurants and shops. The beautiful Victorian terraced buildings in this area are typical to Glasgow.
Kelvingrove Park and Glasgow Botanical Gardens, both in the West End, are two of the largest parks in the city. The Scottish Conference and Exhibition Centre (SECC) also attracts visitors to the West End for exhibitions, trade fairs and concerts.
